About Channel Island Surfboards

CISURFBOARDS is a privately owned organisation focused on surf products and making the best gear possible. Located in a state-of-the-art facility just steps away from Rincon Del Mar, CI headquarters provides a base for designing, testing and building boards while providing jobs in Santa Barbara for many years to come. Channel Islands Surfboards was founded in 1969 by Terry and Al Merrick. From the time he was born, Britt spent his days in the factory on the beach in Santa Barbara. He eventually started shaping with his father Al Merrick in 1990. Today, he is a head shaper and designer for CIS, continuing the family tradition of developing high-performance board designs in collaboration with the world's greatest surfers. From Tom Curren to Dane Reynolds, Channel Islands is evolving at the highest level.
Channel Islands offers you a wide range of products with various shortboards, hybridboards, fishboards, funboards, minimalibus and longboards. As river surfing is becoming more and more popular, a river surfboard range is currently being developed.
